Bakmak - Forward Flight (1978)

The second and final album from this German band.

This short lived band never really made it in a pretty overcrowded German jazz/fusion in the 1970s. Their debut album did not exactly made any big impact in the scene.

The band reconvened again and got seven musicians together here for another attempt to crack the nut, the market. The instruments are percussions, drums, bass, keyboards, saxophones, flutes and guitars.

The music is pretty much run of the mill fusion in the vein of Kraan, Passport and Weather Report. The music is neither great or bad. There are some really tasty saxophones runs and solos here. That aside, these forty minutes does not present us with much excitement. This is a good album and I award it accordingly.
