Eloy - Floating (1974)

Eloy returned with their third album. An album much more in the fine Krautrock tradition than their previous two albums.

Floating is by no means an all out space rock attack. After the opening title track, an all out space rock song, the band then comes up with a lot more subtle songs again. Plastic Girl for example is good symphonic prog with a lot of good vocals and guitar harmonies. The same goes for the rest of the album. Floating is by no means an one dimentional space rock. It is not a space rock album at all.

The quality is great throughout. Plastic Girl is the best song here. A superb song. The rest of the album is also great and I also really like the title track. This is a fine album.
