The so far only album from this Polish band.
There are numerous bands with the Grendel name. There is only one Polish neo prog band though with this name and this is the band whose album I am now reviewing.
Neo prog is the call here and pretty much classic neo prog too. Riverside, Marillion and Genesis springs to mind. The sound is great and the music is in the more melodic poppy commercial end of the neo prog scene. The music is uncomplicated straight forward and made by keyboards, guitars, bass, drums and English vocals.
The compositions and the music is good. Good a couple of times before I am asking myself if there is nothing more to this album than surface based music with no really hidden dept. There is none here. It is good on the ear, but not for the brain. A bit unsatisfactory, but still a good album.
